Society and Sex Revisited

One side is sex, the other is society. You choose which sides.

Think of what each of these words mean, in as many implications as you can.

Take five to ten minutes to think about them.
Good.

It happens in the MIND - When we are in the SEX mode, we perceive that the SOCIETY side of ourselves is phony, not the real world and therefore not important.
So we think we ACT rather than be 'ourselves'.

And the opposite is true. Vice versa.

We perceive, that is we FEEL the SEX side of life was phony when we were in the SOCIAL mode.

To all possible degrees, wherever we are, we feel the other side was not the real world,

so our focus was either on one or the other.

To whatever degree.

But then where are we whenever we see both as true?

You are in eternity, and thinking of eternity makes you an 

ETERNALIST.

We are schooled to think in finite terms.

   This is why Eternalism is often difficult to grasp. Though the concept itself is simple, the REALIZATION of the reality of eternity is not. Overcoming the mind of the finite self, the self that seeks preservation, the self that cannot easily accept the eventual death of the body and the self that has latched onto dogmatic finite mindsets - these take years to readjust our minds to think ABOVE all that is the finite.

   The Concepts of Heaven And Hell are Finite.

   We've been directed to entertain the ideas that there exists a life after death in which we receive either eternal bliss or eternal pain depending on the judgement of a deity. We know Time Itself is not stagnant though, it does not sit on bliss or pain or anything forever. Time Itself is always in motion. For one to be in heaven or hell would be the end of the story of their lives, there would be nothing more to tell. So to think of heaven and hell, or worse, to BELIEVE such places exist is to accept an END. And Eternity does not do ends. Eternity persists.

   Understanding Eternity.

   As I said, Eternalism may be hard to grasp and the degree of its difficulty will likely vary from person to person. It is difficult not because it is too intellectual or mystical or zen or crazy, but because it's outside of most societal thinking. All languages that has been developed through the ages are used as tools for a finite purpose. We think 'To what end?' To what end do I read this book or blog, or to what end do I talk to my friend, my boss or my parents?

   Language is an EXCELLENT tool, we use it so often that it reverberates in our heads. Our minds speak to us in our language because we willingly developed our minds to do that. language became NECESSARY to societies, it is a SURVIVAL tool. We see problems and LANGUAGE tells us solutions.

   But life goes on with or without language. At some point we must ask ourselves; what is our EXPERIENCE beyond language. That is where you will meet Eternity.

   Life Forms And Life Forms

   When I tell people Eternalists put the search above the discovery, they've sometimes told me that makes them feel anxious, as if some yearning is never-ending or self-defeating or worse, nihilistic. How do we find our happiness, our JOY, on a path that is eternal? I tell them, because that is where true joy, true bliss exists, and it is worth the search BECAUSE it is transient, BECAUSE we are only passing through. And we will pass through joy and bliss again, and they will be the SAME yet DIFFERENT - an old new experience.

    So, What Is An Eternalist To Do With Their Life?

   Three things;

          1. Believe Eternity is real and thereby think in infinite ways.
          2. Seek Knowledge.
          3. Be on the path of Love.

The Two Greatest Primal Fears.

Eternity denial is much like death denial in the degree of primal fear it creates.
Both are very real, and neither can be avoided, no matter how much religious dogma we create to assist in our denial. Time tells us dogma is finite, even if people take its fraudulent belief systems to the grave. Dogma may change to adapt to new societies, but because the individual is more important than the society, dogma will always die. And death is eternal, though eternity is not death.

Eternalism as an Alternative Religion, Part Two.

     Here in the West, Christendom has served as a good sustainer of social order, as well as an effective receptacle of inspirational art, however poorly focused. But always, the educated percentage of the populace that was sufficiently educated saught something better, something more expansive, something they would know to be true meaning something BETTER than belief. That 'something' would be against the hypocrisies and supernatural belief requirements of Christendom.

     Eternalism is a way of looking at life that makes you more positive and productive. depression can never be fully eradicated, but Eternalist thinking can lessen and soften its effect on your life. It is a mindset that YOU and ONLY YOU create and maintain. In that sense, it is freedom.

     We learn that wisdom is real, and that it comes from experience and age. That maturity is not about losing our sense of humor, yet it IS about knowing when a joke is no longer a joke. And that all jokes come from fears, about connecting with our ability to smile in the face of adversity.

Why ETERNALISM works as a alternative religion.

     Whatever your previous religious affiliation, OR if you have NO previous organized religious practice, Eternalism can be better for you, if you give it half a chance.

    Here's why; when you ask yourself why your mindset has been dominated by an illogical life and world view, what do you come up with? That it was convenient to your life at the time? That's practical. But still, more than that was at play. If your parents held you to believe what they believe as they raised you, you've been at a disadvantage much of your life. Their views, especially if they taught them to you before you were the age of five, you undoubtedly took them as your own unquestioningly, parents, teachers, mentors inside and outside of your family. They all formed in your impressionable, eager-to-learn-and-please mind. They made you. But one inner spark, one lonely ember of your true deep self remained.

     I call that ember Eternalism.

     The part of you, the very essence of you, is alive and strong even as you have been obedient to forces you may have felt were beyond your control. This is the YOU that emerges when you are truly unbiased and inquisitive in your life, the part that emerges when you have a thirst for REAL knowledge, unafraid and innocent, the YOU that is beyond the systematic, dogmatic, problematic, spastic, bombastic blather of this world. Beyond the moments of fear and doubt. Beyond all assumptions. Beyond all assumptions of the past and future.

     BEYOND THIS LIFE.

I take Taoism at its most basic - the symbol.

The philosophies of Lao-tzu are excellent, but they're not necessarily Eternalist, but the symbol is.

 In Taoism, an absolute entity which is the source of the universe; the way in which this absolute entity functions.

It is in Eternalism as well, but can I say we even take it further?

Looking at the tao at its most basic, in black and white, what do we see? Two exact opposite designs that in our imaginations are twirling, their curves into each other a symbolic suggestion of motion.

And here, as you SEE, the EYES of Eternal Motion.

With such a perfect symbol, WHY have a symbol for Etenalism, the one I sometimes call the TEMPUS (Greek for 'time')?

The Faulty Premise Of Gender And Love

   The entire premise that women are more likely to fall in love than men is faulty, and needs to be examined before dismissed.

Tempus = Eternity

  Where do I, as an Eternalist, stand on the issue of 90-10 by force?

  Opposed. For now. All peaceful avenues MUST be pursued and tried.

The perfect sustainable population ratio; 90% women 10% men

  This could be done in just two generations, and it's very important that we start it now.

   It will cure overpopulation and climate change. Nothing else will.

Social Reproduction In The Future

Reproduction, in the future, has got to be socially controlled, worldwide. But how? And by who?

Of course it is a freedom issue. But that will be put aside until such a time when humanity has a sustainable growth rate with the resourses of our home planet.

So, who will be permitted to reproduce, and by what criteria? Many directions can be pursued; genetic intelligence and physical strength? Stability of potential parents?

We need to work at these problems now, to talk about them and to research valid data and not let ourselves be swayed by political and religious dogma. It's MUCH TOO IMPORTANT a subject to neglect. If we don't as an entire world populace create doable solutions, the consequences are dire to say the least.

Eternalists will start the research. It must become an issue NOW, before we all endanger our species any further.

The Keynote Cafe Has Been My Laboratory.

I've conducted many sound experiments on this stage, in the form of song, musical pieces, performance including dance, even pieces of an opera I wrote based on Aleister Crowley. Some people got the wrong idea about me, but that's all right - I'm not sure myself what the right idea about me would be.

I don't look for successes or failures in my songs, they are calculated to eliset a reaction from ME, to be a remembrance of some imaginary realm. 

It's a two way street up here. When a song is played, you observe me and I observe you. We are together in this experiment. The only difference between us is this; I initiate the experience, I create your reaction, or lack thereof. That's my job. And my very real passion is observing the results.

I purposely try to play against expectations, against labels, against pre-conceptions. I know how most people react to popular songs, and it bores me spectacularly. It is only the NEW SONGS that create original reactions. Only then can we compare the people we have been with the people we are becoming.

Thank you, Keynote Cafe, thank you Jill Sorrels, the hardest working woman in show business, thank you all the great musicians I've worked with. But mostly THANK YOU to every person who has ever been in a Keynote audience. You are my lab rats.

Sadly, this is more than just a trend.

We MUST REVERSE the trend of gender preference toward boys in the womb (in vivo). By which I mean, parents who decide to abort a fetus if it is shown to be female. India is most notorious for this, but other countries and cultures, it has been claimed, have been following suit.

This could become a major global catastrophe for our species.

As Eternalists seeking a greater longevity for our species, we can conceive of a chaotic future where there would be too many men and too few women. What kind of effects would likely happen? Would wealthy men be the only ones with wives and girlfriends? Would more males more males find gayness a sexual alternative to loneliness? Would male aggression brought on by anxiety and frustration cause new wars to erupt?

You might argue that at least the population would go down, eventually, since there would be fewer females to be pregnant. and a lesser threat of global climate change due to a smaller population.

I'm going to cover this further in the next post, and I'd like to get some responses on how people are thinking of this. Flame away on me, if you like. Just please try to make sense, and not assume I'll know what you're talking about.

     Political thought is our most social thought, as such it engages the sharpest and fastest parts of the mind, the part most geared towards tactile reality. Other types and levels of thought have more imaginary aspects.
